LMJV is the joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons Limited, two of the most prominent engineering and construction companies in Europe. The pair are working to deliver HS2’s northern section of phase one enabling works.
HS2 is the new high-speed railway track in Britain, expected to carry over 300,000 passengers a day, and supporting the transition to a net zero carbon economy.
LMJV and its supply chain are committed to the overarching strategic goals of the HS2 project around Health, Safety and Wellbeing; Skills, Employment and Education (SEE); Environment and Collaboration. LMJV utilises the Sustainability Tool to assess these issues and report against sustainability indicators during each phase of the project, including site clearance and preparation, erection of safety fencing and mitigation activities.
